Taking a step from student to full-time career professional can be the most daunting transition you face in your life. Preparing yourself can be half the challenge.
The Graduate Student Association presents this panel discussion designed to help graduate students navigate the gaps between study and work.
A line-up of professionals, including graduate student alumni, will let you in on the world of work. Explore the transition, the gap between graduate and employer expectations, the skills you will need to develop, and the changes and challenges you may not know you will need to face.
Come along and mind the gap.
Moderated by Associate Professor Mark Quigley. Facilitated questions and audience Q&A.
Venue: Woodward Conference Centre, Law Building, 10th Floor, 185 Pelham Street.
When: Check-in and morning tea from 9:30am. Panel starts at 10am sharp.

Mind the gap - register your interest
Come to the panel and you'll also find out more about GSA's new pilot Mind the Gap program, workshops designed for graduate students to prepare them for work. They're free for all graduate students at the University of Melbourne but you will need to register your interest and places are limited. You can help us design more for next year.
