Mild Cognitive Impairment: Thinking Ahead program by Dementia Australia. Suitable for: People diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment.
Dementia Australia is now offering a free group program for people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
What the program offers:
- information about MCI and its symptoms
- practical tips to manage changes associated with MCI
- ways to improve brain health and minimize the risk of developing dementia
- information about services available to help you live well with MCI
- ways to maintain independence and make the most of daily activities
- the opportunity to connect with other people living with MCI.
This program runs over five weekly sessions, each session is 2.5 hours:
- Friday 6 February 2026, from 10am to 12:30pm
- Friday 13 February 2026, from 10am to 12:30pm
- Friday 20 February 2026, from 10am to 12:30pm
- Friday 27 February 2026, from 10am to 12:30pm
- Friday 6 March 2026, from 10am to 12:30pm
Suitable for: People diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This program is delivered interactively, in small groups (maximum 10 people). You will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
