Overview

Hear the experiences of two recent Mike Carroll Travelling Fellowship recipients at our 2026 Presentation evening and sundowner.

The UWA Institute of Agriculture and Carroll family warmly invite you to register to attend the Mike Carroll Travelling Fellowship at our 2026 Presentation Evening on Thursday, 5 March at the G33 Bayliss lecture theatre.

To date, more than 30 postgraduate students from UWA have benefitted from the Fellowship since the first recipient was awarded in 2003. It was established as a memorial to former Director General of the WA Department of Agriculture, the late Dr Mike Carroll, in recognition of his commitment to agriculture.

VIP guests and friends of the Carroll family are invited to attend this special event for light refreshments and to hear recent Mike Carroll Travelling Fellowship recipients Miguel Vaz Pereira and Boyu Zheng present on their invaluable travel and learning experiences.

EVENT PROGRAM

  • Guests to arrive from 5.30pm, with drinks and canapes in the Bayliss foyer from 5.45pm.
  • Formal proceedings start at 6pm, with a welcome speech from The UWA Institute of Agriculture Director Hackett Professor Kadambot Siddique, and introductions by Mrs Helen Carroll and Marie-Louise Carroll
  • Fellowship recipients will then deliver presentations on their travels and research achievements with thanks to the Mike Carroll Travelling Fellowship.
  • Drinks and canapes will be served in the foyer from 6.30pm to 7.15pm.
