Overview

Enhance your understanding and response to homelessness. Micro credential badge will be issued upon completion.

This series is a partnership between Q Shelter and TAFE Queensland, funded by the Queensland Government.


This workshop will examine the definitions of homelessness and contributing factors, including gender dimensions of homelessness, structural causes and risk indicators. It will explore the effects of homelessness and practice frameworks for supporting people impacted by homelessness, including models of work and service provision, and pathways out of homelessness.


The Micro-Credential is particularly suited to those engaged in assisting people adversely impacted by housing issues as part of their job role (eg. staff in Neighbourhood Houses, Family Support Services, Youth Services, Domestic Violence Services), as well as volunteers and students.

Delivery: In person


During the workshop, participants will undertake several group activities/ tasks and will be issued with a Certificate of Completion afterwards.
