Merging Frontiers: Performance in the ‘Asian Century’, co-presented with Critical Path
3:30 – 4:30pm, Sunday 30 October
In a moment where Australia is rapidly redefining its relationship to Asia, what does this reimagination mean for cultural collaboration? How can we use this moment to transform the way we create culture in the region and devise exciting new forms to reflect these new connections. Bringing together Choy Ka Fai, who has researched choreography across Asian cultures for his SoftMachine project, Kee Hong Low the imaginative director of programming at West Kowloon, Artistic Director of Performance 4A Annette Shun-Wah, and Artistic Director of Critical Path Claire Hicks – the panel will share their experiences working cross-culturally and their visions for what this new moment might entail.
