ACPE have partnered with Mental Health Management (MHM) in 2020 to provide an opportunity for the sports sector to attend the Mental Health Response Workshop for Sport. Five workshop dates have been scheduled to ensure that industry members have access to this valuable workshop. ACPE, in partnership with MHM, is pleased to be able to not only offer this workshop on campus, but to offer this at a reduced rate for the sector.
The Mental Health Response Course is usually valued at $300 per individual. However, ACPE and MHM have ensured that the following prices will be available for all Sport NSW Members, Government Departments and Sporting organisations across NSW in 2020.
Individual registrations: $250 per ticket
Groups of three or more: $200 per ticket
The Mental Health Response is MHM's signature workshop. It is a hands-on, practical first aid response workshop to help you support someone experiencing mental health issues. In order to prevent long-term mental health complications and the possibility of suicide, early intervention is key. This workshop aims to familiarise you with the signs and symptoms of poor mental health and equip you with the tools needed to support people with issues such as depression, anxiety and panic attacks.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to recognise changes in behaviour and offer an informed first aid response to help somebody in need.

"At Sydney FC we focus our success on four pillars – Technical, Tactical, Physical, Mental. In terms of the mental pillar one of the initiatives we undertook was for all our coaching and backroom staff to undergo mental health training which was provided by Mental Health Management. Debbie delivered the training in a very professional manner. It was engaging, easy to understand and it gave us the tools and confidence to take the first steps in dealing with any mental health issues.”
