Mental Health First Aid Training for the Local Community

Join us for an informative Mental Health First Aid Training event at the Quest for Life Centre in Bundanoon. Participants will learn how to apply mental health first aid to adults across a range of common mental health problems and crisis situations.

The 2-day nationally accredited Mental Health First Aid workshop teaches students to intervene early, recognising the warning signs of mental health problems; to respond in a crisis to support adults who are at risk of harm; to offer support and speak openly and accurately about mental health; and finally, to reduce stigma and increase support for adults experiencing and living with mental health problems.

The course discusses mental health issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, deliberate and substance use disorders as well as some of the potential crises that may arise including suicide ideation, panic attacks, severe psychotic states and intoxication.

Participants will benefit from improved knowledge of mental illness and their treatments, knowledge of appropriate first aid strategies and confidence in providing mental health first aid to individuals with mental illness.

The $25 fee (+ Eventbrite booking fee) covers morning and afternoon teas and light lunches for the two days prepared by Quest for Life. Please note there is a maximum of 5 participants per organisation. Should you require more tickets please contact us on the number below.
