Overview
At the Pop-Up Museum, participants explore a range of fossils, collection objects, taxidermy and activities displayed on 'touch-tables.'
Explore a range of different interpretative objects across a timeline from Australian dinosaurs, to megafauna, to today’s animals.
The program features:
- A life-sized Muttaburrasaurus skull and leg
- A Diprotodon skull cast, and footprints artwork
- Koolasuchus cleelandi, an ancient car-sized amphibian and Victoria’s State Fossil Emblem
- Artwork of Thylacoleo to scale, as well as a cast of a Thylacoleo skull
- Australian animal taxidermy from the Museums Victoria collection (koala, platypus, echidna, a range of birds, and more!)
