Meet the artists and connect with the creative community at this mid‑exhibition celebration and networking event for East of the Lake.

Join us for a special Meet the Artists & Networking Event celebrating East of the Lake, where exhibiting artists from the eastern side of Lake Macquarie come together to share insights into their ceramic and two‑dimensional practices. This informal gathering invites visitors, creatives and community members to connect, chat and enjoy the exhibition.

Guests are invited to connect with ceramic artists Abi Sparks, Ameeta Patel and Sharon Taylor, whose works span functional ware, hand‑built and wheel‑thrown vessels, and experimental glaze and melted‑glass techniques. Their stoneware pieces—fired in reduction—demonstrate the interplay between material, process and place.

You’ll also have the chance to meet 2D artists Amanda Donohue, Deanna Newland, Fern Martins, Jodie Reynolds and Patricia Menegazzo, who bring a diverse array of printmaking, acrylic, enamel and mixed‑media approaches. Together, their practices explore environmental observation, community narratives and the changing textures of life around Lake Macquarie.
