Overview

Join Emma Grey as she shares her latest novel, 'Start at the End'.

About the book

This powerful, emotional, sliding-doors novel from the bestselling author of The Last Love Note and Pictures of You is about love, loss, grief and hope, and asks if it is ever too late to start again.

When Audrey and Fraser tumble into a love story for the ages, theirs is an epic, unbreakable bond – until one tragic moment up-ends everything.

Facing the unimaginable, wrestling with guilt, they're left haunted by 'what-ifs'.

Would their lives still have imploded if they'd done one little thing differently? Where would they be if events had unfolded the other way around?

Start at the End offers hope for those who think they'll never love again.

About the author

Emma Grey is the award-winning author of seven books including the USA Today and Australian bestsellers, The Last Love Note and Pictures of You.
Her novels have attracted multiple foreign translations deals and a TV option. They were reviewed in the New York Times, Oprah Daily, The Washington Post and People magazine.
Pictures of You won the gold medal in the American Independent Publisher Book Awards. Along with The Last Love Note, it received a starred review from the American Library Association. Both books were selected for two major American book clubs, including the Book of the Month and the Target Book Clubs. They were shortlisted in the ACT Literary Awards and The Last Love Note appeared in the Better Reading Top 100. Emma co-wrote a stage musical based on one of her teenage novels, which was selected for Broadway Unplugged in Sydney and by the Homegrown initiative in Melbourne.
She lives in Canberra, Australia where her world centres on her children, step-children and grandchildren, photography, music and endlessly chasing the Aurora Australis.

Emma will be in conversation with Rebecca Sparrow, an acclaimed writer, speaker, podcaster, and a passionate advocate for prioritising connection and belonging in an increasingly lonely world. Her dream is for every child and adult to feel a true sense of belonging.

Books will be available for purchase, or bring your copy from home to be signed. Presented as part of the Lord Mayor’s Writers in Residence series.
