Let your creative streak fly and join Dead Puppet Society for a mechanical bird puppet making workshop.
Under the guidance of Dead Puppet Society’s artisans at their Fabrication Workshop, you will choose the colour of your bird's body and wings and then observe the material cut out on the laser cutter, seeing first-hand how laser-cutting technologies are used to build the puppets and props for stage productions. You will then assemble your feathered friend inside a dome case. Gain an insight into the basic principles of puppet design, and how to bring your bird to life on its miniature stage using a minuscule mechanism.
Celebrate the colour and beauty of Australia's native birds in this hands-on experience combining the craftsmanship of puppetry with the expertise of talented artisans.

This event is designed for guests 18+ due to the inclusion of complimentary bar service. Please contact Dead Puppet Society directly if you wish to attend with younger guests. DPS Social is not suitable for guests under 15 years of age.
