Event Conclusion
About this event
Join two dynamic speakers for a one night only appearance at The Brisbane Latvian Hall (Brisbane), combining Damien's 'Are You Awake Yet' roadshow with The Guy in the Hat's 'What Comes Next' tour, to bring you a potpourri of high energy, laughter, and deep reflection.
Damien's satirical perspective of controversial events over the past few years, will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, as you experience the world from the viewpoint of a well-known passionate TV personality.
Tim (aka. The Guy in the Hat), builds upon Damien's energetic address, by taking you on a journey into the future of global monetary systems, from Central Banks, Tokenisation, and CBDC's, to digital assets and the dystopian Digital Twin Cities program. Tim will not only have you 'looking for the exits', but he will also provide out-of-system solutions (and diversifications) that will not only protect you, but will also secure the wealth of your family long into the future.

About The Guy in the Hat
Tim is a passionate father of 4 and precious metals investor, public speaker, social media influencer, and published author of the bestselling book ‘Things We Were Never Told About Money’ and 'The Great Asset Shift'.
As the founder of the successful online channel Beat the Reset, Tim has earned a reputation as the light hearted quirky Guy in The Hat, who's favourite beverage during live shows is either coffee or sambuca, whilst his favourite catch phrases are ‘Make Good Choices’ and ‘Stop Doing Dumb Stuff’.
In addition to an extensive background in database programming, Tim is both a qualified civil marriage celebrant, as well as an accomplished and professional pianist. Sharing a passion for research together with a never ending desire for knowledge, Tim packs 25 hours into every day, often unwinding to the occasional online game on Sony PlayStation, or embarking on a brisk hike on the outskirts of his hometown in Melbourne, Australia.
About Sam Lawrie (Adams Bullion)
Sam has worked in the financial services industry for 5 years across CFD broking, algorithmic trading, equities analysis services and bullion dealing. He is an avid precious metals investor and advocate, having started his precious metals journey in 2018.
Sam has worked with thousands of clients over the years, teaching them about finance, economics, and precious metals, helping them to protect themselves financially. His experience in the bullion industry began in 2020, working at a major bullion dealer in Melbourne.
Sam has had a fascination with economics stretching back to when he was in high school, winning the school economics award during his final year. A memorable moment from this was when he asked his teacher why central banks set interest rates, rather than the free market. Sam pursued this interest further at Melbourne University, studying a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Economics.
Sam’s passion for the precious metals and everything that they represent has pushed him to work with John Adams to create Adams Bullion, combining Sam’s knowledge of the inner workings of the bullion industry with John’s superb economic analysis and political achievements to date, creating Australia’s most politically active bullion dealer.
