Mastering Colour: 3 week workshop

Making Art Communicate With YouWe know that approaching the art world can sometimes feel like approaching a mysterious void with no clear road in, filled with secrets, asymmetrical clothing, and flashes of naked people. It can seem intimidating, offensive, deliberately elusive and outright obnoxious. You might even feel like you have to prove your worth before your allowed entry. And we think that's fucked up.We believe in art communication. And we believe that art is for everyone – especially for you. But we know that the art world doesn't know how to communicate that to you properly. It's like the ultimate teenager – desperately wanting your love but way too much in need of expressing it's independence to ask for a hug. Art needs you to survive, and the more you engage with art, the more enriched our society becomes. So instead of asking you to do all the work, to figure it all out, to find the courage to go somewhere that you think is designed to exclude to, we are here to bring the art to you.

Culture Queen

Do you control colour, or does colour control you?
Do you always default to an all-black outfit? Do you want to bring more colour into your office space but you can’t paint the walls? Are you trying to create Zen at home but you’re afraid of choosing the wrong colours? Do you want more colour in your life but don’t know where to start? Do you think colour just isn’t a big deal?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then this course is for you!
Join us for 3 weeks as we deep dive into the world of colour through interactive workshops that bring to the front an important energy in our lives that often lives in shadow. If coloured-based choices are not an active part of your decision making for self-expression and self-manifestation, then this workshop is for you. By understanding colour we can bring it into the light, harnessing its energy and empowering the choices we make instead of letting it control us on a daily basis.
Week 1 (2nd April): Intro to colour. Where do colours come from and how do they manifest in our daily life?
Week 2 (9th April): Unlearning colour. Breaking down the systems of colour that control us without our knowing or permission, so that we can recognise them and their patterns in our life.
Week 3 (16th April): Mastering colour. How to take these learnings and harness the power of colour to empower you in your journey.
Dates Tuesday evenings, 7:00pm – 8:30pm 2nd April, 9th April, and 16th April 2019
Price: $50 per class, or pay $130 for the whole course, saving $20!
