About this event

  • 1 day 7 hours

In partnership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this interactive masterclass follows the PMBOK methodology for best practice in project management. Offered across 2 days with exclusive pricing package for AMaGA.

Most organisations have significant numbers of their people engaged in project work, either full-time or periodically. Many of those people have no project management training or standardised process or templates, and just “pick it up on the job”. The impact on the organisation of projects running over time, over budget and not delivering to stakeholders’ expectations can be very serious in financial terms, employee frustration and customer dissatisfaction. The Victorian Chamber Project Management course is based on the PMBOK methodology and uses a wide range of reference material and effective tools drawn from project management practice.

This workshop is very hands-on and interactive. VCCI use a simple and logical project process framework, processes and templates which may be customised to suit your organisation’s needs. Participants work on their own current or planned projects, using the templates and various practical exercises to develop understanding and confidence with the tools and techniques.

This course will benefit new project leaders and managers, and also experienced project managers who have no prior formal training. Their projects can cover a wide range of size, cost, time and complexity. Your organisation will benefit from shared understanding and skills, better planning and execution of projects, better control of costs, risks, time and quality, and from learning valuable lessons from reviewing and evaluating completed projects.
