Masterclass -Artists' Books with Dianne Fogwell

About this event

DIANNE FOGWELL - MASTERCLASS – Artists’ Books

The focus of the weekend is the masterclass. An opportunity to learn from Master Printmaker and Bookmaker, Dianne Fogwell, and discuss ideas and ways of developing images into new forms, The workshop will explore the relationship between idea and form. The marriage between the conceptual and technical in the form of an artists’ book.

We will explore image and text, the journal, print techniques, the importance of size, structure and typography.

A blank concertina book will be used as a basis for the collection of ideas. Simple techniques will demonstrate the fundamental basic principles for more complex projects that can be followed up in each person’s studio and practice.
