MARS: The Warrior Within

SENSITIVITY WARNING: This workshop will explore sensitive themes such as fear, threat, and danger. There will also be some strenuous physical activity. If you are living with any significant physical or mental health challenges, please be advised.

***Workshop has been rescheduled from its originally planned date Sept 5 to Nov 1, 2026. We hope to see those who initially signed up there for an amazing AstroDrama experience!!**

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Prepare for an initiation. Mars, the planet and God of war, represents a departure from our comfort zone and a transition into the combat zone. This workshop will strip us of our everyday selves, help us explore raw emotion, and tap into the courage to fight for what we want.

Part one of the class is a deep dive into the planetary archetype. By accessing the "cosmic body" of Mars through movement, we become a match to its energy and mythic structures. Part two of the class will be a homestay in the domiciles of Mars, Aries and Scorpio. Through movement and improvisation, we will explore how Mars manifests differently in these two zodiacal signs, and what they mean in our personal birth charts.

You do not need to have any background in astrology or performing arts to participate. To make the most of the night, we simply encourage you to keep an open heart and mind.

ABOUT ASTRO-DRAMA LABS

Astro-Drama Labs was founded in 2025 by theatre-maker Jacinta Maxwell and astrologer Ethan Paisley, with the goal of helping others heal and creatively self-actualise through forming an embodied relationship to the cosmos. Our organisation aims to carry forth the tradition of Astro-Drama developed in the 20th century, which blended psychological theatre with astrology to enable healing and creative pathways. We seek to challenge and expand the tradition through incorporating elements of our passions for physical theatre, divination, and ancient ritual.
