Join agroecologist/viticulturist Dr Mary Retallack, Retallack Viticulture Pty Ltd and Regional On-ground Coordinator, Rebecca Archer who will host a National EcoVineyards ground covers seminar and hydroseeding demonstration.

We are delighted to welcome our special guest presenters:

Anthony Quinlan, Soil Dynamics will discuss cover cropping in southwest vineyards.

Mark Stidwill, PGG Wrightson’s Seeds are a leading supplier of ground cover seed and DuraVeg products (which are used for hydroseeding).

Brayden Hill, GHEMS Revegetation Environmental will demonstrate hydroseeding in the vineyard.

Dr Mary Retallack, Retallack Viticulture Pty Ltd, National EcoVineyards Program Manager

Mary is an agroecologist/viticulturist with nearly 30 years of practical experience within Australia and overseas. She manages the National EcoVineyards Program and will be your host for each event along with the local Regional On-ground Coordinator (ROC).

Rebecca Archer, Regional On-ground Coordinator (ROC)

Rebecca commenced with the Lower Blackwood Landcare team 2023 and has a passion for identifying and utilising suitable endemic plant species agricultural landscapes to increase biodiversity, and the ecosystem services this provides to landholders and producers.

Anthony Quinlan, Soil Dynamics

Anthony has extensive experience in establishing multispecies ground covers in vineyards, and has developed a range of bio-stimulant based fertiliser products. He will present on cover crops, permanent sword vs annual multispecies, benefits, costs and preparation / methods of seeding, soil prep, nutrition and seed dressing, termination, mow and throw / crimping, summer cover crops pros and cons.

Mark Stidwill, PGG Wrightson’s Seeds

Mark Stidwill, Revegetation Manager PGG Wrightson Turf DuraVeg has been in the turf and environmental rehab industry for more than 30 years, and has a focus on revegetation, advising on soil management, species selection and the application of seed.

Brayden Hill, GHEMS Revegetation Environmental

Brayden is an experienced environmental project manager, having accumulated over 16 years of environmental management experience, including specifically seed collection and revegetation works, as a Senior Project Manager at GHEMS. Brayden is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of GHEMS and overseas all of GHEMS projects.

Brayden will demonstrate hydroseeding in the vineyard.
