Welcome to The Mareeba International Club for the third edition of the Salami and Sausage Competition Festa, an annual Cairns Italian Festival event for the region proudly sponsored by Borgo Salumi.
Come join our big Italian family in a fun filled day with our annual competition, lots of laughter, wine, and of course great food and company.
The competition:
Some of Australia best artisan salami and sausage makers will be contesting to take out the prestigious awards on offer. You will also get the opportunity to meet the families who are competing, and you never know - you may even learn some of their secrets. The overall winner will receive $2,000 as prize! But there is more to this event than just the competition...
Food, entertainment and more:
It is also a celebration of family, friends, tradition and of course, food. There will be a beautiful homemade Italian lunch and desert to savour provided by the Mareeba International Club with live Italian music and The Mamma's are back again this year to make you feel like home! There will also be lots of amazing prizes to win by simply buying your ticket.

There will be several awards up for grabs (up to $2,000 to be won!). Our expert judging panel rating each entry out of 20 in the areas of Taste, Aroma, Density and Colour. With great prize money up for grabs for the winners.
