Birds Queensland Birdwatching – Ironbark Gully, Samford Conservation Park

Birds Queensland, Paul Marty

If you have ever wondered "What bird is that?" or "Why does this bird do that?" and you're keen to learn about our local birds and find out what birdwatching is all about (beware: it can become addictive) or if you are more experienced and looking to explore somewhere new, come and join members of Birds Queensland on a walk around this beautiful reserve. Please bring binoculars if you have them and a phone or camera to participate in the Parks Connect BioBlitz.

DIGITAL DETOX: Fungi Finding Walk - Atrax Circuit, Manorina, D'Aguilar NP

Jeremy Hegge from Partial Veil, Partial Veil

Join Jeremy Hegge from @Partial_Veil for a Fungi finding walk in the stunning D'Aguilar National Park. Stroll the Atrax Circuit at Manorina, learn the tips and tools that will help you understand these under-rated organisms that are neither plant nor animal. Unlock the puzzle of fungi identification, understand the vital roles they play in ecosystems, and help dispel the many myths surrounding these fascinating organisms on this Fungi Finding Walk. This Digital Detox event is part of Brisbane's Word Science Festival and is FREE as part of the Parks Connect program.
