MAVhas a profound commitment to arts and artists shaping the narratives that define who we are as a multicultural nation.We make art as a visceral response to the forces of bigotry and intolerance, which seek to undermine the hard-fought battle for pluralism.We make art to understand who we are as migrants on Indigenous land.We make art to draw attention to the work that is still needed to future proof our identity as a society that deeply values its diversity.

Over 15 days and 14 venues the 6th edition of <A HREF="http://multiculturalarts.com.au/event/mapping-melbourne-2018/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mapping Melbourne</A> creates new perspectives, new possibilities and new expressions through a series of intercultural, multi-artform events in the heart of Melbourne. Exhibiting and performing at some of our most iconic institutions and public spaces the festival profiles established and emerging artists form across Australia, China, India, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. The series celebrates our unique Asian Australian identity and highlights positive global creative connections.
