Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP) was launched in 2012, as the first University-aligned startup accelerator in Australia. Our Accelerator has since supported over 100 startups, who have raised over $250 million in funding, generated over $250 million in revenue, and created over 1500 new jobs.Each year 11 teams are selected to take part in the five-month startup Accelerator, where they receive mentoring from some of Australia’s most brilliant business minds, as well as access to a global network of advisors, channel partners and investors, and $20,000 in funding (with no equity taken) to help them accelerate their startup growth.MAP is committed to fostering a high-performing environment focused on Mindset, Accountability and People.W﻿e offer a range of programs and support inatives which you can check out on our website: https://www.themap.co/

From unmanned underwater robots to recycled bottles made into raincoats, meet MAP’s 2020 cohort and see these teams present their successful pitches at this year’s Melbourne Accelerator Program Launch.We’ve partnered with Ticker TV to bring you a Launch like no other, teaming up to take over the studio and celebrate the 10 startups who’ve been selected as part of this year’s cohort, as well as bringing you many other surprises throughout the night.We’ll be joined by special guests, including our Vice-Chancellor Professor Duncan Maskell as well as welcoming our very own Georgia McDonald as your host for the evening, and Jordyn Evans and Simon Murphy coming to you LIVE from the green room.We invite you to join us for this power-hour of pitches, and following the show you’ll have the chance to meet the teams, take part in a speed networking experience, or even stay on the main stage to hear a special DJ set from the legendary George Hedon (Founder of PauseFest / aka DJ Obsolete).We are delivering this massive event as a virtual experience for the very first time, and are thrilled to be able to welcome Founders and startup enthusiasts from all over the country and beyond.We have designed this night to be interactive.
