Join us for a fun day learning what researchers are doing to help ensure the positive trajectory of our local endangered turtles.
Join us along the banks of the Nowendoc River- a tributary of the Manning River- and explore what is being done to save the endangered Manning River turtle and what you can do to help revive their habitat.
This is a rare opportunity to hear first hand from a range of Manning River turtle specialists explaining everything from turtle ecology, survey methods, their findings and new information about these endangered turtles- found only in the Manning Catchment.
A range of stalls highlighting threats and how to protect Manning River turtles and their habitat will also be on site.
We thank Knorrit Flat Riverside Retreat for kindly hosting this collaborative event coordinated by the Manning River Turtle Steering Group.
Morning tea and light lunch will be provided and include some gluten free,vegan/ vegetarian options.
This is an outdoor event. Please ensure you bring a chair, drinking water, sun smart clothing/hat, enclosed footwear.
Please park vehicles according to signage on site. We recommend ride sharing where possible from the main entrance down to the river.
