Managing Bullying Behaviour on Instagram & Snapchat
Event Information
Description
Children are being taught to “not be a by-stander” in a bullying situation. This advice, whilst well-meaning and effective in real-life, face-to-face situations, is played out differently online and is contributing significantly, to the lack of power parents, a school or the police have, to take action when the bullying escalates to a serious or dangerous level.
If you want your child to be taught how to MINIMISE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ABUSE TO OCCUR and LEARN & PRACTICE PRACTICAL STEPS THEY CAN TAKE to de-escalate a bullying situation online, then this workshop is a crucial step in their safer social media education!
Your child will need to have completed the Instagram and Snapchat Privacy & Security Workshops offered by Eyes Open Social Media Safety before attending this workshop, to ensure that there accounts are set up to minimise the opportunity for abuse to occur.
In this workshop they will learn and practice set up and use the options available for de-escalating a toxic conversation.
