Description

The Malware Reverse Engineering Workshop 2017 (MRE-2017) is designed to link industry, law enforcement, government and academia, with a strong focus on practical results from research and development projects in malware reversing.

The conference aims to cover:

* Reverse engineering methods, analysis and algorithms

* Behavioural and attribution analysis of malware

* Impacts into the financial sector and government agencies

* Advanced monitoring schemes for malware attacks

The Malware Reverse Engineering Workshop 2017 will be hosted by the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory of Federation University Australia.

A range of exciting Plenary speakers will be included in the MRE-2017 program, to be released shortly.

Keynote Speakers:

- Maciej Kotowicz, Principal Reverse Engineer at CERT.pl – Maciej has a special interest in reverse engineering and exploit development as well as their automation.

- David Korczyski, University of Oxford – David is a researcher with the Department of Computer Science at University of Oxford. His research areas are malicious software, formal methods and program analysis.

David will also present a further two free seminars following the MRE-2017, as below:

5 July 2017 - "Mathematics Basis of Malware Reversing" at Federation University, Mt Helen Campus, Ballarat.

7 July 2017 - "Extracting Deeply Injected Malware Payloads" CBA, SOC, Sydney
