Make Your Own Recycled Soft Plastic Purse

The Hills Shire CouncilNorwest, NSW
Tuesday, Feb 24 from 10 am to 12 pm AEDT
Overview

Bring your soft plastics and turn them into a purse - no sewing required!

Celebrate World Wetland's Day and join us for a hands-on workshop where you will transform your soft plastics into a no-sew purse! During the workshop, you will also learn how to identify different types of plastics, why some are trickier to recycle than others, and what steps you can take to reduce your soft plastic waste at home and at work.

What to bring: Bring along your soft plastics! This can include plastic bags, bread bags, food wrappers, biscuit and chip packets, bubble wrap, frozen food bags, pasta bags, and padded mail bags. Bright and colourful soft plastics will work best for the outside of your purse!

Location and parking: The workshop will take place at 3 Columbia Court Norwest in The Hills Shire Council Administration Building.

Free parking is available in the B2 car park, this is the first car park when you turn into 3 Columbia Court.

Please use Columbia lifts (blue) and select ground floor. When you arrive, please notify our Concierge Team as they will be expecting you. They will then take you through to the Community Meeting room for the workshop.

Please note we have limited capacity for this workshop. If you book a spot and can no longer attend, please cancel your booking to allow someone else to attend.
