This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or anyone that already sews but would like to add to their sewing skills. Come along to learn some simple ways to extend the life of your clothes, accessories and favourite pieces.
Mending techniques covered in this class are:
- How to sew on a button.
- How to repair a small hole in a sock, jumper or knitted garment
- How to hand stitch a hem.
You will get to do some samples to learn each technique. Each person will get a small sewing kit to keep, to continue your mending and sewing at home.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
SEW MAKE CREATE is a creative workshop for small, intimate classes to teach new skills based in Chippendale, Sydney. Their classes & workshops teach a range of skills that are related to sewing, crochet, design, sustainable living, art and craft. Come discover a new hobby and learn from their teachers who are passionate about their craft and sharing their knowledge. Their workshop space is a drop-in sewing studio for our community to use their sewing facilities. They also sell and repair sewing machines.
ABOUT THE VENUE:
STANMORE LIBRARY is accessible from street level by ramp, however it does not have an accessible toilet.
