Made Herself Ready

Made Herself Ready

St Brigid's Catholic ParishNerang, QLD
Saturday, Mar 7 from 9 am to 4 pm AEST
Overview

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready." - Rev 19:7

Come along and join us for a day full of prayer, discussions, fellowship and inspiring talks led by the Sisters of Mary Morning Star, Sisters of the Immaculata (TBC) and Sisters of St. Paul De Chartres. In a time when the presence of Religious women in the Church is greatly needed, this initiative seeks to:

  • Raise awareness of the vital role of religious women in the life of the Church.
  • Promote vocations and highlight the beauty of consecrated life.
  • Inspire young women to embrace and support religious life within their own communities and familes.
  • Equip discerning participants with practical tools to discover their own vocation.
  • Dymystify the common fears of Religious life.

Beginning the day with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, we will then delve into talks from each community unpacking the deep mystery of Religious life and its importance in the Church. Throughout the course of the day there will be group discussions on the specifics of each Order's charism and a deep dive into the common misunderstandings of the consecrated life, to bring about a greater appreciation for the beauty of God's calling. There will also be opportunites for partcipants to connect personally with Religious sisters and other likeminded young women.
