About this event

Visit the MacIntyre Wind Farm on one of our Community Project Site Tours. Experience a wind turbine close up and learn more about the project. All tours include bus pick up and drop off as well as morning tea.

Please register via our ticket section, choose your preferred date and advise of any dietary requirements.

Registrations are due one week prior to each site tour.

The following tour dates will be available (limited to 54 spots per tour):

  • Wednesday, 17 January 2024
  • Sunday, 3 March 2024
  • Wednesday, 24 April 2024
  • Wednesday, 22 May 2024

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

All tours leave from 8am at Haidley's Coaches in Warwick and 8:30am from Karara Community Hall. Coaches will return from site no later than 1:30pm.

Appropriate clothing must be worn. This includes long sleeve shirts, jeans/workwear pants and boots (no heel). ACCIONA Energía reserves the right to decline access to the site if appropriate clothing is not worn. Visitors to the construction site need to be able to walk without aid.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to wear on the tour?

Visitors must wear adequate clothing adhering to our Health and Safety Plan. This includes long sleeve shirts, jeans/workwear pants and boots (no heel). ACCIONA Energía reserves the right to refuse entry if visitors do not comply with our Health and Safety Plan.

Is the MacIntyre Wind Farm wheelchair accessible or suitable for people with walking aids?

As the MacIntyre Wind Farm is an active construction site we have to adhere by our Health and Safety Plan and are therefore unable to accommodate visits for people in wheelchairs or with walking aids.

What type of food will be served during morning tea?

We provide morning tea on site, including sandwiches, wraps, a mixed sweets platter and a fruit platter. If you do have any dietary requirements, please provide this information during the registration process.

What time will we return to Karara/Warwick?

Our coaches return to Karara by about 12:45pm and Warwick by 1:30pm.

Are children permitted on site?

Due to our MacIntyre Wind Farm construction works and activities we are unable to accommodate visits for children under the age of 10 years.

Can I drive to the MacIntyre Wind Farm in my own vehicle?

All visitors need to arrive on our arranged coaches. If you do prefer to drive to Karara and catch the bus there, please select our Karara pick up option during the registration process.
