Creative fun for the little ones and a cuppa and chat for you!

About this Event

Young children and their families can enjoy simple art activities guided by friendly art museum educators.

Tuesday's in March join us for a Coffee and Baby Chino a look at an artwork and a simple artmaking project.

Ticket $7 dollars (includes drinks and all art materials).

Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and the art activities will take about 40 minutes to complete .

Visiting the Gallery:

All are welcome to engage with the exhibitions and enjoy self directed activities but the ARTSPACE sessions require booked places for all in your group including, adults and siblings that will be in the MAC studio space.

All attendees will be reminded to follow safe physical distancing and health advice by keeping 1.5m apart, maintaining personal hygiene by regularly washing hands, and not attending if they feel unwell.

ARTSPACE @ HOME

We have developed ART SPACE @ HOME so you and your little one can engage with art and be inspired to create.

Creativity and sustainably is key with the materials used for all our online ARTSPACE projects. We have tried to create projects that can be made out of things most households would have in their cupboards or recycling bins.

Every two week we will feature a simple art making activity with an extension for older children to build their skills and understanding.

Book a creative picnic lunch in the Sculpture Park:

Family Lunch pack $40

Art Pack: Includes self-directed art making activities designed by local Lake Macquarie artist Michelle Teear and Peter Lankas. You can borrow professional art materials to create your take home artworks, suitable for all ages.

Lunch pack: 2x salad rolls (choice of filling Chicken, ham ,veg), 2x kids rolls ham or chicken cheese, cold drinks, 4x scones jam & Cream and Picnic Rug.

Add 2x small coffee's to the picnic $48

All bookings need to be in 2pm daily ready for pick up the next day. Takeaway only. Basket, Rug and art materials need to be returned to MAC reception.
