Mabon / Autumn Equinox - Ritual & Celebration
Mabon calls us to honour: the balance of light and dark, preparation, the abundance of the earth and to revel in gratitude
🍁 Mabon - A celebration of Harvest & Gratitude 🍂
Mabon is the Autumn Equinox, when light and dark stand in perfect balance. A time of the harvest and preparation for the dalk half of the year. Fields are thinned, orchards are cleared and leaves begin to beautifully decay. The earth does not rush; it steadies itself. What has grown reaches maturity, and we too recognise our yeild. This is a moment of equilibrium, a quiet breath between the outward blaze of summer and the inward draw of autumn. The land invites us to notice what is full, what is sufficient and what is ready to be laid down.
Mabon calls us to honour balance in all its forms: effort and rest, giving and receiving, holding and letting go. To take stock of what we have gathered (not only in grain and fruit) but in learning, relationships and resilience. This is a season of thanksgiving and honest reckoning, of sharing the harvest and preparing wisely for what lies ahead. Gather with us to bless what has ripened, to offer gratitude for both light and shadow, and to step consciously into the turning year. At the equinox, we remember that wholeness is found not in excess, but in harmony, tended and sustained together.
