City Challenge Overview:

From city streets to local routes, the Cyclelogy Bangsar crew and tweei come together for the Equinox Experience in Penang!

Rolling out before sunrise, the ride brings Penang’s cycling community together to log meaningful kilometres and share a quiet, pre-dawn island experience.

Starting and finishing at 1.618 Roastery, the ride will trace Penang’s quiet beachside roads as the island sleeps. From the coast, the route moves inland towards Balik Pulau, cutting through open paddy fields before heading into a tree-covered climb, offering cool air and natural shade as the effort builds.

  • This is a highly technical ride.

  • Whether you plan to do the entire route or a section of your choice, you'll be a part of a global community of riders finding a moment of harmony and alignment on the bike.
  • However it’s accomplished, may the effort be grounded in the pleasure of possibilities as you push into new comfort zones with friends.
  • You are responsible for your own nutrition and hydration across the ride.
  • You must wear a helmet and appropriate cycling footwear for the terrain.
  • You are also responsible for your own mechanical support – bring spare tubes, tyre levers, a patch kit, and a pump or CO2 cartridges.
  • If you’re unsure about your fitness level, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend holding off on this ride and keeping an eye out for future MAAP rides.
