The night begins with a traditional Yusheng or 'Prosperity Toss Salad', a joint activity where familes and friends 'Toss Up' the salad prepared to bring good fortune in. It consists of smoked salmon and pickled vegetables.

Lion Dance Performance
A Lion Dance Performance commences to bring prosperity and good luck for the upcoming year. It is a two-person dance featuring a lion costume, accompanied by loud drums, cymbals, and gongs to create a festive atmosphere.
