Lunar New Year Celebrations on the Gold Coast
Celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year in Chinatown, Southport!
The 2026 Lunar New Year celebrations on the Gold Coast are being held at Chinatown in Southport on 21 February.
This year's festivities include a vibrant melting pot of colourful entertainment. See lion and dragon dancers, market stalls, an interactive wishing tree, fan and umbrella dancing, and a sizzling fireworks finale!

You need to make your own way to Southport and we will be meeting at the statue of Confucius in Davenport Street at 5.00pm and then again at 6.00pm.
This is a free event and you will be able to buy dinner at the many stalls and restaurants in Chinatown.
