Event description
Long-term effects of domestic and family violence: the good, the bad and the ugly

About this Event

The impacts of Domestic and Family Violence are best viewed as a continuum, with long-term effects that linger across the lives of victim survivors.

This panel discussion centralises the voices of such victim survivors who have each repackaged their lived experience into a drive for advocacy and activism, or into a career within related sectors. The session will be facilitated by Dr Ilsa Evans, author of Battlescars: Long Term Effects of Domestic Violence and the best-selling novel Broken.

Register to hear our panel members share their stories and discuss the long-term effects of domestic and family violence. They include:

• Geraldine Bilston

• Chantelle McGuinness

• Gaynor Holmes

• Kaitlyne Bowden

As a large segment of this event will involve an interactive Q & A, we also invite you to submit questions in advance when you register.

Grab a cuppa and join us for an event not to be missed, as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
