This 10-week beginner course introduces students to the logic pro x environment and build foundational skills, editing, arranging and mixing

Logic Pro – 10 Week Song-Build Course (Beginner Engineers)

Course Goal: By the end of 10 weeks, students will have created a complete song from scratch while gaining confidence navigating Logic Pro, building beats, recording audio, and performing a basic mix.

Week 1 – What Logic Pro Is & Navigation Understanding what Logic Pro is, the difference between Audio and MIDI tracks, why Logic asks you to choose track types, and where everything lives (Tracks Area, Library, Inspector, Mixer, Transport Bar).


Week 2 – MIDI & Making Your First Beat Introduction to MIDI, software instruments, drum programming, and creating an 8-bar beat that forms the foundation of the song.


Week 3 – Beat Expansion & Song Structure Turning a loop into a full song by arranging sections such as intro, verse, and chorus using markers and copying regions.


Week 4 – Recording Audio Recording vocals or live instruments, understanding inputs, monitoring, and capturing clean takes.


Week 5 – Editing & Comping Editing recordings, comping takes, cleaning mistakes, and tightening performances.


Week 6 – Mixing Foundations Creating a static mix using volume and panning only, understanding balance and space.


Week 7 – EQ Basics Using EQ to remove problem frequencies, high-pass filters, and cleaning up the mix.

Week 8 – Compression & Space Introduction to compression, reverb, delay, and using buses to add depth.


Week 9 – Automation & Final Touches Using automation to add movement, energy, and polish to the song.


Week 10 – Final Mix & Export Final mix checks, referencing, and exporting the finished song correctly.
