Living Your Best Life in Melbourne
Real conversations. Real support. Your best life in Melbourne starts here.
This unique panel and live Q&A brings together Study Melbourne, the International Advising team, and the Wellbeing team for a collaborative session designed specifically for new international students.
Hosted by Tinaika Pereira, former La Trobe international student and creator of her own podcast, this session moves beyond a traditional lecture format. Tinaika will use her interviewing and storytelling skills to guide an open, engaging Q&A with representatives from across the university and Study Melbourne, creating a relaxed and natural conversation rather than a formal presentation.
Students will hear directly from key university departments about the support available to them, from wellbeing services to academic guidance and external Melbourne-based resources. The session is designed to help you understand how to navigate life in Melbourne from multiple perspectives: university, city and personal wellbeing.
The main takeaway is connection. Connection to departments. Connection to external partners. Connection to people who are here to support you. And most importantly, connection to a version of yourself that is confident and ready to live your best life in Melbourne.
Whether you have questions about settling in, balancing study and life, or simply want to understand what support exists for you, this session is tailored for students who are new to Australia and new to La Trobe.
