This event, Living in our coastal city - challenges where the land meets the sea, will explore the pressures placed on our beaches, harbour, bays and estuaries, and what's being done to protect these assets.
Sydney is a coastal city comprising of beautiful beaches as well as a network of magnificent rivers, bays and an iconic harbour. These waterways define our harbour city in the east through to our parkland city in the west, but do we place enough value on these natural assets? Do we understand the risks posed by urbanisation and climate change? Are we prepared to take action to protect our freshwater and marine ecosystems?
Join our panel of experts for a lively discussion on the current status, future risks and measures to protect Sydney's waterways and beaches.
