Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes! Thanks to the NSW Government and Liverpool City Council this 6-month program provides 3 free sessions every week during school term followed by free tea/coffee and refreshments at the onsite café.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! The more the merrier.

Do I have to register? Or can I just turn up?

If you can register please do so. But we are happy for you to just come along as well. We would rather you attend and join in than miss out.

Do I need to speak English?

No! Many of the sessions have bilingual staff. In lots of classes like the art class, tai chi, yoga and gentle exercise you can just copy the instructors movements.

Do you have interpreters?

Yes! On Tuesdays and for our guest speakers we have an Arabic interpreter. Our Art class teacher speaks Arabic and English fluently.

Do I have to come to every session?

No. Attend as many or as few sessions as you like.

What is the eligibility requirement?

You must be over 65 years of age or over 50 years of age if you are from an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.

I have a suggestion for an activity or feedback, who do I tell?

We welcome all suggestions and feedback. Please email them to the Project Coordinator, Alison Jones, at alisonj@collectiveleisure.com.au

What's the catch?

There is none! Well, we do ask you to complete a registration form and evaluation survey. Otherwise everything is FREE!
