This session is a great opportunity to discuss the risks and benefits of an epidural block as pain relief in labour with an Anaesthetist and midwife from CHWC.

The discussion will include but not limited to:

- Walking epidurals – what they are and how they work

- Risks of epidurals for mum and baby

- Benefits of epidurals for mum and baby

- What is involved in having an epidural and when is it too late to get one

We ask that your questions are general in nature as this will be a public forum. Please reserve your personal questions to your visit with your antenatal care provider.

These live Q&A Sessions are only for women who are booked in to birth at Centenary Hospital for Women & Children. If we are unable to find a record of your booking to birth at CHWC we will cancel your booking in Eventbrite. In order to match your booking with our records, we request that all bookings are made in the pregnant woman’s name. Only one booking is needed, partners and/or support person do not require a booking.
