Calling all kids who love to read and write!
Join bestselling author A. L. Tait on Zoom for a special one-hour event to launch her latest exciting middle-grade novel THE WOLF’S HOWL (A Maven & Reeve Mystery).
This amazing event will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 10 August via Zoom, so you can attend from anywhere!
A. L. (also known as Allison Tait) will not only tell you all about her brand-new book, but she’ll share the secrets of creating brilliant stories, including:

- how she breathes life into her vivid characters
- the most important question she asks herself
- how she creates page-turning adventures and baffling mysteries

Who is A.L. Tait?
A. L. Tait is the internationally published bestselling author of EIGHT epic middle-grade adventure novels, including THE MAPMAKER CHRONICLES (series), THE ATEBAN CIPHER (duology) and THE MAVEN & REEVE MYSTERIES. She is a regular speaker at schools and literary events and teaches creative writing for kids at the Australian Writers’ Centre. Find out more about her here.

Is this event suitable for kids of all ages?
Yes, although readers and writers aged 9-14 will probably get the most out of it, it’s never too early (or too late) to talk about good stories. That said, THE WOLF’S HOWL is a middle-grade novel aimed at readers 10+.

You'll be given the Zoom link on your order confirmation page. The information will also be emailed to you right away. Please double-check the email address you provide before ordering. Save the Zoom information so you can find it easily on 10 August.

Can I ask A.L. Tait questions during the event?
There will definitely be time for questions, which will be submitted via the chat function in Zoom. A.L. Tait will answer as many as she possibly can in the time allocated.

I have more than one child at home – is it okay if the others watch as well?
Definitely! As long as you’re all under one roof you can use one link.

** When will I receive my book?
Books will be mailed as soon as possible after the publication date on 3 August for orders made before then, or as soon as possible after receipt for orders received after that date. Either way, they may not arrive before the event on 10 August. It is NOT necessary to have read the book in advance to enjoy the event.

What if it turns out I can’t make it on the night?
Tickets cannot be cancelled and no refunds given. You will still receive your copy of THE WOLF’S HOWL, and a recording of the event will be available to watch after 11 August.
