Description

This seminar will welcome Lisa Witter (award-winning executive, entrepreneur and writer) who will explore violence prevention, and learnings from other countries that can be applied here in Victoria to help us deliver better outcomes for Victorians.

Governments around the world are facing the same violence prevention challenges as us, and we’re fortunate to have this opportunity to hear about their experiences and learn from their successes and mistakes.

Our seminar will be led by Lisa, who is Co-Founder of Apolitical - a global network connecting public servants to ideas, solutions to shared challenges, and professional resources and opportunities; and Co-Founder of WithoutViolence - an organisation that supports people and policies to prevent violence against children.

Apolitical’s international platform connects and promotes the best ideas and people in the public service to help solve the hardest challenges facing our societies.

Lisa is visiting Victoria as part of a new Innovation Thought Leadership initiative, that will be launched by DPC Secretary Chris Eccles on Wednesday 13 September.

The opportunity to hear about what’s being done around the world to prevent violence against vulnerable members of society is invaluable as we progress Victoria’s commitment to family violence reform.
