Join us for a discussion on Recruitment & Your Workplace Culture Fit with Tony Jacobson, HirePay

About this Event

What are the keys to ensuring you recruit well and that the person fits the role rather than the role fitting the person? Find out why new recruits leave at lunchtime on the first day? and What do you do when you know you did not recruit well?

Recruitment and your workplace culture fit.

Some leaders might take the view that there is no need to pander to the needs of the workforce. Many assume as technology takes over more roles, the pool of grateful workers will simply increase. Smart organisations recognise that to fully engage their most important resource they must create environments that enable people to do great work.

I would argue that the most critical issue for organisations operating in the digital age is to acquire and retain the best talent. Therefore, a very real shift has occurred: The talent is now in the driving seat.

There is a widespread misconception that the new economy is purely about technology. While technology certainly plays a critical role in the way modern business is conducted, all facets of the way a modern organisation operates, have gone through a significant revolution. Understanding, selecting and applying the right technological tools is only one side of the equation. Many organisations have already upped their game in respect of talent acquisition, but finding and retaining the right people will not be possible without an emphasis on culture and a deep understanding that humans have certain anthropological drivers .If these “anthro drivers” are not met organisations will not be able to survive the 4th industrial revolution or we can harness their full potential and create a more rewarding environment for all.

The business environment in which we operate is extraordinarily dynamic, with the only constant being change. The tectonic plates upon which all business is built are moving and shifting at a pace that is almost impossible to comprehend. The future of work is a business transformation issue and not just a matter of talent management.

BBG is much more than a run-of-the-mill "Networking" or "Referral Marketing" group.

In a very real sense it is a "Collaboration". One that helps SME owners and leaders to develop and grow their businesses.

As a guest at our monthly Business Forum you will have the opportunity to network with, mastermind, learn and co-operatively overcome business challenges in a way that will help you get to know the members of our dynamic Lindfield Chapter.

Over time, as the members get to know like and trust you, collaborations will begin to flourish and referrals will begin to flow.
