LIFE DRAWING PARTY — Social Drawing Session with Studio Maverik

Sketch, chat, hang out and draw with new friends at our Life Drawing Party ✨ Draw on a communal paper-covered floor canvas, moving around the room and creating art together.

Leave your sketchbooks at home, we're filling up the paper-covered floor with your creations! We're BYO, so bring along something yum to sip on ~ plus bring your friends, a date, a coworker — let's have a super fun Sunday night creative sesh together 💌

The floor will act as a communal canvas (and perhaps a cheeky dance floor). With two nude life models stationed at opposite ends of the room on their stages, drawers will be encouraged to move freely through the space, mingling as they please.

Why this is a unique drawing experience:
- You can draw as big as you like, no sketchbook means no size restriction! Life-size drawings? Yes!
- Draw with a friend, add elements to each other drawings
- Draw the other people and props in room
-Have fun & play & embrace the social and communal atmosphere

Here’s a little run down of what the space will look like: Fully paper covered floor, two nude models stationed at opposite end, party lights, music, BYO + more!

Important details to know about this session:

• Unlike regular Life Drawing with Studio Maverik, this session will be experimental & unstructured.
• You will need to remove your shoes before entering the drawing space and stepping on the paper, so keep this in mind.
• This session will be set up more like a party and treated as an experience rather than a traditional Life Drawing class.
• The music will be louder, and there will be party-type lighting.
• We are encouraging patrons to sit on the floor and walk around freely so there will be limited chairs. We are happy to accommodate everyone's needs, so if you would like a chair for the entire event please let us know.
• Attendees must be respectful of the model's space at all times, and at no point while the models are performing will it be appropriate to interact with, get too close or touch them.

Held at the incredible Arts Venue – The Station (16 School St, Fortitude Valley). Run by two local creatives, Franny & Rhianna.

• Draw from two life models
• Basic drawing materials provided
• BYO sips (including alcohol)
• Doors open 6:10pm

Please note that the models are undressed, so please keep your phone away while the models are posing, but you're welcome to use it during the break.

If you can't make it to your session, no worries! Please cancel it via your appointment email more than 24 hours prior to open up the spot for another drawer.
