Step into a night of queer creativity, music and magic as Midsumma Festival takes over State Library Victoria.

Library Up Late returns for Midsumma, transforming into your after-dark playground dedicated to the act of artistic creation. Gain exclusive after-hours access to our latest exhibition Creative Acts, dance under the iconic Dome with electro-pop duo Stereogamous (Paul Mac and Jonny Seymour), immerse yourself in cabaret curated by drag artist Jandruze and stay for their unmistakable magic on the decks. Learn your fate with a tarot reading from Lady Bijou and her fellow Cartomancers. What will the cards reveal?

In between performances, explore roving installations and connect with artists reimagining creativity as joy, ritual and resistance. It’s part party, part performance and all pride.
