Event description
Level UP your home care advice and improve patient outcomes

About this event

Please join Level Up Preventative care for an interactive workshop on motivating patients and the latest research and technology for individualized oral hygiene instructions.

This workshop will be 4.5 CPD Hours

There is little value in providing professional hygiene to patients without providing oral hygiene instructions and improving home care. Motivation and instructions needs to be individualized for each patient and we also need to make sure we are not creating our own bias in our approach. The traditional method of where patients are "spoken to " does not work. We need to create an interactive method with our patients so that they become a member of the health care team. This workshop will cover the latest research on motivation and different tools and techniques to improve patient home care and outcomes

- Understand motivational interviewing

- Understand how technology can be incorporated into motivating your patient

- Understand Professional Bias and how we avoid it
