Let's Talk Safe Transport
Overview
Join us for a relaxed, practical session all about Safe Transport Solutions. We will cover key assessment considerations, how to choose the right option, and tips for making transport safer and more comfortable for your clients.
The session will introduce you to Medifab’s recently launched Safe2Go vehicle harness, including an exclusive hands-on opportunity to come and try the Safe2Go harness as part of the session.
Perfect for OTs, physios, and anyone working with clients who need extra support on the road, regardless of whether you are yet to prescribe a safe transport solution, or are looking to extend your knowledge and confidence in this area of practice. Bring your questions and come ready to learn.
Key Learning Areas:
- Apply current evidence and regulatory requirements to support safe transport needs across the lifespan, including common transport challenges experienced by people with disabilities and their families.
- Conduct a structured safe transport assessment by identifying key clinical, environmental, and vehicle-related factors that inform appropriate restraint selection and transport planning.
- Develop, document, and justify a safe transport plan by integrating assessment findings with legal documentation, exemption pathways, and compliance considerations.
