What is the workshop about?
The extension kit for the basic WeDo Activity Pack enables students to gain a real understanding of the composition of machines that are prevalent in everyday life.
This hands-on workshop will support participants to boldly go beyond the basic LEGO WeDo Activity Pack by incorporating more complex possible-machines enabled by the extension kit.
Explicit links will be made to the curricula, as well as to 21st century learning skills of: communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem solving. This workshop is suitable for teachers of all primary school years levels; although ideally students in Years 3 – 6 would benefit most from these extensions to more complex machines.
