Event Details

This exciting event  will see teams going head to head on the scrabble board to take out the prestigious "SCRABBLE® Challenge Cup 2017”. It will be a night of fun and brainpower mixed with delicious substantial canapes and unlimited beverages while you play. Enjoy networking and competing to raise funds for a great cause.

This fundraiser is all in the name of improving literacy and numeracy for disadvantaged children with learning disabilities and difficulties. There is currently very little government funding available for children who suffer from learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD which can have a huge long term impact if specialised intervention is not provided.  We believe that:

It’s EVERY child’s right to read and write!

Scrabble is a game full of words and numbers and a perfect way to build awareness of learning difficulties in Australia. This exciting fundraiser event  will see individuals and teams going head to head on the scrabble board to take out the prestigious “Scrabble Challenge Cup”.

Learning Links

Learning Links provides essential support services to children and young people with learning difficulties or learning disabilities. These include dyslexia, speech and language disorders, dyscalculia, high functioning autism and difficulties with concentration, working memory, coordination and social skills, among others.
Our programs focus on the individual child. The services are delivered by a professional team of educators, therapists and psychologists. Together the team is able to identify the skills each child struggles with and develop and deliver an individualised program that targets these skills.
Learning Links also supports families in their struggle to access help for their children. Also, many of the parents struggle with learning difficulties themselves and cannot therefore support their children’s education adequately.
