Learner driver supervisor workshop

Learner driver supervisor workshop

Overview

Boost your confidence supervising learner drivers—learn low-risk skills, licence rules, and tips to support safer driving journeys.

Parents and supervisors play a key role in helping young drivers gain the experience needed to stay safe on our roads. As rules, regulations and technology evolve, it’s important they have the right skills and knowledge to support learners through the NSW Graduated Licensing Scheme.

The Helping Learner Drivers Become Safer Drivers workshop focuses on low-risk driving, effective supervision, and the importance of positive feedback. It also explores how parents can set clear expectations and create a supportive learning environment.

Participants report increased confidence, better planning of driving sessions, and valuable shared experiences with other supervisors.

Workshop topics include:

  • Learner and provisional licence laws
  • Supervising learner drivers
  • Low-risk driving techniques
  • Completing the log book
  • Benefits of on-road experience
