Indonesian batik has been titled as the Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Your teacher, Rehana, has spent months at the National Batik Museum Jakarta to learn this beautiful art.

Batik pieces are highly priced due to their intricacy. It may sound challenging, but you'll be guided by Rehana step-by-step to finish your very own batik scarf or table runner. You'll learn to make beeswax resist method textile print through a combination of pre-recorded and zoom sessions.

After trying out this unique textile art you'll be very tempted to make another, as the results are very rewarding and the craft itself is such a mindful and relaxing activity.

Beginner friendly with basic tracing and painting skills. 15+ Years Only as it demands certain skill level & mindfulness to work independently or under adult supervision.

WHAT YOU GET- One-metre cotton fabric , a practice piece, ready to use wax, Two assorted dye colours, Paintbrush, Design prints & instructions

WHAT YOU NEED- A small old pot to heat up the wax, A hotplate or small stovetop to use in a well-ventilated area, any five-litre plastic trough or tub for dyeing, 2-3 plastic containers or small bottles to store dye, Disposable gloves.
